With more than 20 years of managerial and operations experience in the
Information Technology field, Colleen brings a wealth of knowledge to her
consulting role. Her professional career includes serving as Director of
BellSouth's Internet Operations Center and as Director of ASP services for
WebTone Technology.
Colleen specializes in consultation to leaders who want to build strong
management teams or who are in transition because of organizational growth,
change, or interpersonal issues as well as coaching individuals who are
moving into a leadership role.
Colleen's expertise stems from her numerous years of experience as she
worked her way up from an entry-level information technology job to senior
level management positions. She has an extensive background in the
telecommunications, publication and government sector. Colleen has held
leadership positions with industry leaders such as BellSouth, Williams
Communications, Cingular, and Salt Lake City Government. This experience
provided her first hand knowledge of the issues and challenges associated
with making the transition into the management ranks. During her career
she has realized organizations today have higher-than-ever expectations for
results. Yet these results now need to be achieved in a shorter period of time
than ever. If managed well, the challenges that a leader faces can lead to
high levels of success. However, if these challenges aren't well managed,
they can cause a career-derailing experience. It was through this process
she came to understand the value of coaching as a result of the support she
received which provided her with the critical tools to navigate through
challenging times in her professional care.
Her educational background includes graduate coursework in Industrial and
Organizational Psychology and a bachelor degree in Telecommunications.
Colleen is a member of the American Psychological Association and an
affiliate member of the Atlanta Society of Applied Psychology.
